This online event is a safe space to dip your toes into the world of improvisation. Anyone 12 or over is invited to join us.

Improv is not just about being funny. It's about being authentically you.

Join us for this gentle introduction-- or reintroduction-- to how to play. You probably played as a child. Back then, play was how we connected with others, used our imaginations, and learned about the world. Improv is play for adults.

Surprise yourself, and have a wonderful time learning something new. Live just at the edge of your comfort zone. Maybe even stretch it a little. You'll only be asked to participate to the level you feel comfortable. Contact us if you’re interested in the next class date.

Mindful Mischief

Online class dates coming soon.

Improvisation is, at its core, a mindfulness practice. The improviser is fully present in the moment, letting go again and again of impulses to plan or control. We cultivate a trust in the unnamed thing that is arising between the players.

Building on the natural affinity that formal practice and improvisation already possess, a delicious synergy happens, creating a wonderful container for the practice of improv.

This class is a great starting place for those new to improv, as well as a wonderful way to deepen the skills of improvisers at any level.

Ready, Set, Go!

Ready, Set, Go is a creative, interactive, and imaginative training that trains participants to respond to whatever life throws at them. Learn a completely nontraditional, improvisational mindset for dealing with any kind of emergency.

Other trainings cover what to do in a particular emergent situation. The difference here is that we focus on developing attitudes that will aid effective action, whatever the situation.

Hope in the Unknown:

Facing the Climate Emergency

In this workshop we use tools from Focusing and Theatrical Improvisation to build a bridge between embodied presence and a creative response to the unknown. In this way we increase our resilience and develop what Roshi Joan Halifax calls "wise hope:" discernment and meaningful action without knowing the outcome.

Embodied Play:

Focusing and Improv

Like Focusing, play is a way to discover our true selves, and connect with others in unexpected ways. In this workshop, we explore what the intersection of mindful embodied attention and an improvisational attitude might look and feel like.
